Thanks to everyone who participated in the OPEN BETA! See our Downloads Page to download the update(s) now! Changelogs: If Active Sky's weather is good (which I think it is) but their turbulence is poor (which it is) then you *can't* do anything about it without breaking Active Sky (until you restart it.)īottom line is, if you have any app that messes with turbulence, it will probably break your Active Sky (and any other) weather engine.P3Dv4.5 HF3 compatibility, further fixes, adjustments, and network/stability improvements highlight these latest updates. They just want some air movement (someday, maybe, we'll have vector field air movement? I hope.) Here's what's messed up about that situation:Īdding some bumpy air via turbulence datarefs shouldn't change the weather. I suspect it causes AS to lose control of the weather and it gives up (quietly). If an add-on changes any of the turbulence datarefs, it doesn't just change changes the weather. I think the issue is due to the way turbulence is designed in X-Plane (perhaps, a bug) and would affect any weather add-on (seems to affect FSGRW as well). Well FSX/P3D is 100 times more alive than Xplane with 0 weather. One of the biggest complaints I hear about FSX/P3D from the Xplane community is how it feels "on rails". I have pretty much been driven back to FSX/P3D because Xplane with clear weather and 0 winds feels absolutely pointless.
